Hi there, friend! I’m Edie — the heart, hands, and hungry soul behind Edi Life.
This blog is more than just a collection of recipes. It’s a piece of my story — a story simmered with memories, stirred with love, and seasoned with the hope of sharing a little joy through food.
Where My Love for Cooking Began
I grew up in a small, cozy town where life moved slowly and kitchens were always warm. My earliest memories are of standing on a stool next to my grandmother, watching her roll out dough, her hands dusted in flour, humming softly. She didn’t just cook meals — she created moments.
Sunday dinners were sacred. The table was full of laughter, stories, and dishes made from scratch. That was where I learned that food isn’t just about feeding the body — it’s about nourishing the heart.
The Values I Stir Into Every Dish
Over time, cooking became my language of love. It’s how I celebrate, comfort, connect — and most of all, how I express gratitude for the little things in life.
What I believe:
-
Homemade food has a soul.
-
Cooking is self-care.
-
Sharing recipes is sharing kindness.
-
The best meals don’t require fancy ingredients — just intention and heart.
Why I Started This Blog in 2021
Like many of us, 2020 was a year that changed me. Slowing down made me realize how much joy I found in my kitchen. Friends and family would always ask for my recipes, and one day I thought — why not share them with the world?
In 2021, Edi Life was born as a way to connect with others who also believe in the beauty of home cooking.
This blog is my invitation to you — to gather around a virtual table where we can laugh, learn, and savor something good together.
