Old-Fashioned Chocolate Fudge

I’ve been on a mission, searching high and low, to find that elusive chocolate fudge I first tasted back when I was just a wee 8 or 10-year-old, if you can believe it! Well, folks, I’ve got fantastic news. I finally found the recipe! This Old-Fashioned Chocolate Fudge is everything you’d dream homemade fudge could be – it melts in your mouth and has that perfect, slightly crumbly texture.

And this recipe has never let me down, and you know what? It won’t let you down either! It’s not just a sweet treat; it’s a perfect homemade gift for the holidays, a gracious hostess gift, or the ideal way to wrap up a delightful dinner, maybe with a warm cup of coffee in hand. It’s time to dust off that candy thermometer!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 Tablespoons Hershey’s cocoa
  • 1 stick of salted butter
  • 5-ounce can of Carnation Evaporated Milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • nuts (optional)

How To Make Old-Fashioned Chocolate Fudge:

Step 1: Mix sugar and cocoa in a saucepan, then add a stick of butter and the can of evaporated milk and stir until the mixture starts boiling.

Step 2: Stir continuously for 7 minutes, then remove from heat and add vanilla, then stir the mix continuously for 3 minutes, then pour into a buttered baking dish to set.

Step 3: Voilà! There you have it, delicious fudge in less than 20 minutes! Enjoy!!!
