  • 1 cup (240ml) maple syrup
  • 1 cup (200g) sugar
  • ½ cup (120ml) heavy cream
  • ¼ cup (57g) unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

Step 1: Toast pecans in a skillet over medium heat until fragrant. Cool.

Step 2: Combine maple syrup, sugar, heavy cream, and butter in a saucepan.

Step 3: Cook over medium heat, stirring, until it reaches 238°F (114°C).

Step 4: Remove from heat and mix in vanilla and toasted pecans.

Step 5: Pour into a parchment-lined pan and let set.

Step 6: Cut into squares and serve.
