Authentic Lebanese Hummus

This Authentic Lebanese Hummus is creamy, flavorful, and super easy to make.

   

It’s the perfect blend of garbanzo beans, garlic, and tahini, topped with a drizzle of olive oil and za’atar spice for that extra touch!

Ingredients

  • 1 can garbanzo beans, drained
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup tahini
  • Olive oil, for drizzling
  • Za’atar spice, for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Boil the drained garbanzo beans with 1/2 cup of water for a few minutes.

Step 2: Transfer the garbanzo beans and water mixture to a food processor.

Step 3: Add salt and garlic, then pulse for 3 minutes until well blended.

Step 4: Add the lemon juice and tahini, and continue pulsing until smooth.

Step 5: If the hummus is too thick, add cold water gradually to reach your desired consistency.

Step 6: Serve with a drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of za’atar spice. Enjoy!
