Authentic Lebanese Hummus
This hummus is creamy, flavorful, and super easy to make.
- 1 can garbanzo beans drained
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup lemon juice
- 1/3 cup tahini
- Olive oil for drizzling
- Za’atar spice for garnish
Boil the drained garbanzo beans with 1/2 cup of water for a few minutes.
Transfer the garbanzo beans and water mixture to a food processor.
Add salt and garlic, then pulse for 3 minutes until well blended.
Add the lemon juice and tahini, and continue pulsing until smooth.
If the hummus is too thick, add cold water gradually to reach your desired consistency.
Serve with a drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of za’atar spice. Enjoy!
