Cauliflower Pizza

It’s Cauliflower Pizza night at our home!

  • 2 medium cauliflower heads
  • Olive oil spray
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Pizza sauce
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Pepperoni slices
  • Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat oven to 425°F.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spray it with olive oil.

Step 2: Wash the cauliflower heads, remove the outer leaves, and trim the core while keeping it intact.

Slice each head into ¾-inch-thick steaks. Roast any florets that fall apart along with the steaks.

Step 3: Place the cauliflower steaks and florets in a single layer on the baking sheet.

Spray the tops with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

Step 4: Bake for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven, turn the cauliflower, spray with more olive oil, and season with additional salt and pepper.

Bake for another 10 minutes.

Step 5: Remove the cauliflower from the oven and set the broiler to HIGH.

Spread pizza sauce, mozzarella, and pepperoni over the cauliflower steaks.

Broil for 1 minute until the cheese is melted and slightly browned.
