Banana Chocolate Muffins

These Banana Chocolate Muffins are THE sweet and comforting treat.

   

With ripe bananas and rich chocolate, they’re perfect for breakfast or a snack.

Easy to make, these muffins are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups mashed bananas (about 3 bananas)
  • 6 tbsp (85g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or chunks (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with 12 liners.

Step 2: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.

Step 3: In a separate bowl, combine the mashed bananas, melted butter, brown sugar, egg, vanilla, and milk.

Step 4: Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Step 5: Fold in the chocolate chips or chunks, if using.

Step 6: Divide the batter evenly among the muffin liners. Bake for 18-22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
