Creamy Chicken Lasagna With White Sauce

Ingredients

For the white sauce:

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups whole milk (or half-and-half for extra creaminess)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

For the filling:

  • 2 cups cooked and shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken works great!)
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp dried basil
  • 1/4 tsp dried oregano

  • 12 lasagna noodles (cooked and drained)

Instructions

Step 1: In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter.

Stir in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes, whisking constantly.

Step 2: Gradually pour in milk, whisking to avoid lumps.

Cook until thickened (about 5-7 minutes).

Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, Parmesan, salt, and pepper.

Remove from heat.

Step 3: In a large bowl, mix shredded chicken, ricotta, 1 cup mozzarella, 1/2 cup cheddar, 1/4 cup Parmesan, basil, and oregano.

Cook lasagna noodles per package instructions. Drain and lay flat.
