Avocado, Mozzarella, And Tomato Grilled Cheese

A crispy, golden sandwich filled with creamy avocado, melty mozzarella, and juicy tomatoes—simple, wholesome, and delicious!

Ingredients

  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 ripe avocado, mashed
  • 4 slices fresh mozzarella
  • 4 slices ripe tomato
  • ½ tsp dried basil (or 2 tsp fresh basil)
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

Instructions

Step 1: Butter one side of each bread slice.

On the unbuttered side of two slices, spread mashed avocado.

Step 2: Layer mozzarella over the avocado, then top with tomato slices.

Sprinkle with basil, garlic powder (if using), salt & pepper.

Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered side facing out.

Step 3: Heat a skillet over medium heat.

Grill sandwiches for 3-4 min per side until golden brown & cheese is melted.

Step 4: Slice & serve warm with soup or salad. Enjoy!
