Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. Can I use a different type of apple?

Yes! You can use any apple variety you like, but Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work best for a balance of sweetness and tartness.

2. Can I substitute oil for butter?

Yes, both oil and butter work well in this recipe. Butter gives a richer taste, while oil makes the cake more moist.

Insert a toothpick into the center of the cake. If it comes out clean or with a few crumbs, the cake is ready!

4. Can I freeze the cake?

Yes, you can freeze the cake after it has cooled completely. Wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and store in the freezer for up to 3 months.

5. Can I make the crumble ahead of time?
