Double Pork Baked Beans

Perfect for BBQs, family dinners, or any time you need a satisfying side dish that everyone will love.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb thick-cut bacon
  • 1 small white onion chopped
  • 2 cups pulled pork
  • 2 cups ketchup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground pepper
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp dark molasses
  • 1/2 tsp Tabasco sauce
  • 2 cans 15 oz each red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can 15 oz white beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can 15 oz pinto beans, drained and rinse

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, mix ketchup, water, garlic powder, pepper, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, molasses, and Tabasco. Set aside.
  • Cook bacon in a large pot until firm but not crispy.
  • Remove and chop, leaving the grease.
  • Sauté onions in the bacon grease until translucent.
  • Add pulled pork, beans, sauce, and half the bacon to the pot. Cook for 5 minutes.
  • Transfer to a casserole dish, top with remaining bacon, cover with foil, and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Uncover and bake for another 20 minutes.
  • Serve and enjoy!
