Crazy Dough
Crazy Dough is an all-purpose yeast dough that can be shaped and baked into a variety of breads, rolls, and crusts. It’s soft, easy to work with, and can be customized with different flavors and ingredients.
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2¼ tsps dry yeast
- 1¼ cups warm water
- 2 tbsps olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- Garlic powder
- Dried herbs
Activate the Yeast: In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Stir gently and let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
Mix the Dough: In a large bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil, stirring until a rough dough forms.
Knead the Dough: Transfer to a floured surface and knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Add flour if sticky or a few drops of water if dry.
First Rise: Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm spot for 1 hour until doubled in size.
Shape and Use: Punch down the dough, then shape it into loaves, rolls, or pizza crust. Let it rest for 10–15 minutes before baking.
