Wholesome Spinach And Cheese Casserole
A creamy, cheesy spinach bake with cottage, cheddar, and mozzarella—perfectly seasoned and baked until golden for a simple, wholesome family meal.
- 2 cups frozen spinach thawed and drained
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ onion finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tablespoons butter or olive oil
- ¼ cup flour optional, for firm texture
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Sauté onion and garlic in butter over medium heat for 3–4 minutes until soft.
In a bowl, combine spinach, eggs, cheeses, sautéed veggies, flour (optional), nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Lightly grease a 9×13 dish. Pour in mixture and smooth the top.
Bake for 35–45 minutes until set, golden on top, and a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
