Wholesome Spinach And Cheese Casserole

A creamy, cheesy spinach bake with cottage, cheddar, and mozzarella—perfectly seasoned and baked until golden for a simple, wholesome family meal.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups frozen spinach thawed and drained
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter or olive oil
  • ¼ cup flour optional, for firm texture
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Sauté onion and garlic in butter over medium heat for 3–4 minutes until soft.
  • In a bowl, combine spinach, eggs, cheeses, sautéed veggies, flour (optional), nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Lightly grease a 9×13 dish. Pour in mixture and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 35–45 minutes until set, golden on top, and a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
