Viral Cookie Croissant (Le Crookie)

Why settle for just a croissant or a cookie when you can have both?

Ingredients
  

  • 1 croissant
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (180 g)
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • In a bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth.
  • Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
  • Stir in the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Carefully split the croissant in half, stuff the bottom half with cookie dough, and place more cookie dough on top of the croissant.
  • Bake for 18 minutes or until golden. Enjoy warm!
