The Best Chocolate Chip Cookie

Ingredients
  

  • 100 g butter room temperature
  • 175 g sugar
  • 1 egg
  • a pinch of salt
  • a few drops of vanilla essence
  • 200 g flour
  • 4 g baking powder
  • 100 g chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Step 3: Beat in the egg, then stir in the vanilla.
  • Step 4: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Step 5: Stir in the chocolate chips.
  • Step 6: Drop cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheets, about 2 inches apart.
  • Step 7: Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden but the centers are still soft.
