Tater Tot Pizza Casserole

Tater Tot Pizza Casserole combines crispy tater tots, savory pizza toppings, melty mozzarella, and a meaty, saucy base in one cheesy, crowd-pleasing bake.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ground beef
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 can pizza sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1 bag frozen tater tots

Instructions
 

  • Set your oven to 425°F (220°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef or sausage until fully browned. Drain the excess fat.
  • Stir in diced onion and minced garlic. Cook for 3–4 minutes until the onion turns soft and translucent.
  • Pour in pizza sauce, sprinkle Italian seasoning, and season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 2–3 minutes to thicken slightly.
  • Spread the meat mixture into the baking dish. Top with half the mozzarella, then layer on pepperoni and any extra toppings. Arrange frozen tater tots over the top and finish with the remaining mozzarella.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes until tater tots are crispy and cheese is bubbly. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
