Sweet Chili Pineapple Sauce
Sweet Chili Pineapple Sauce is a sweet, tangy, and mildly spicy sauce that works great for dipping or drizzling over meats, seafood, and vegetables. Quick to make and full of flavor, it’s perfect for family meals or casual get-togethers.
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- ½ cup crushed pineapple with juice
- ½ cup rice vinegar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
Mix pineapple juice, crushed pineapple, rice vinegar, sugar, soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes in a medium saucepan. Simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Whisk cornstarch and cold water until smooth, then gradually stir into the simmering sauce.
Cook 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened and coating the back of a spoon. Adjust by simmering longer or adding more slurry if needed.
Remove from heat, let cool slightly, and use as a dip, drizzle, or glaze.
