Sweet Apple Cinnamon Quick Bread
A tender, cinnamon-spiced apple quick bread packed with fresh apples and topped with a sweet glaze. Easy to whip up and perfect for fall snacking or cozy mornings.
Cinnamon Apples:
- 2½ cups Granny Smith apples chopped (about 2–3 apples)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp cinnamon
Bread Batter:
- ½ cup salted butter softened
- ¾ cup white granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ cup buttermilk
Topping:
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ¾ cup walnuts chopped (optional)
Glaze:
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp whole milk or cream
Heat oven to 350°F. Line a 9x5-inch loaf pan with parchment and lightly grease.
Chop apples into ¼-inch pieces. Toss with lemon juice and cinnamon; let sit.
Cream butter and sugar (3–4 mins). Mix in eggs, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
Fold in flour, baking powder, baking soda, and buttermilk. Stir in half the apples and walnuts.
Pour batter into pan. Top with remaining apples. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Bake 50–60 mins, until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool in pan for 15 mins, then transfer to rack. Mix glaze and drizzle over cooled loaf.
