Strawberry Pretzel Salad is a delicious dessert with a crunchy pretzel crust, creamy cream cheese filling, and a fresh strawberry gelatin topping, offering a perfect balance of sweet, salty, and creamy flavors.
- 2 cups crushed pretzels
- ¾ cup unsalted butter melted
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed
- 1 package (6 oz) strawberry gelatin
- 2 cups boiling water
- 3 cups fresh strawberries sliced
Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 3 tablespoons of sugar in a bowl. Press into a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Bake for 10 minutes or until golden. Let it cool completely.
Beat cream cheese and 1 cup of sugar until smooth. Fold in whipped topping. Spread evenly over the cooled crust. Chill for 30 minutes.
Dissolve strawberry gelatin in 2 cups boiling water. Let it cool for 30 minutes until slightly thickened.
Stir in sliced strawberries, then pour the gelatin mixture over the cream cheese layer. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to set.
