In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Add eggs and yeast mixture. Mix until dough forms.
Gradually knead in softened butter, one piece at a time, until smooth and elastic.
Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot for 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.
Punch down dough and divide into equal portions. Shape into balls or braids and place in a greased loaf pan. Cover and let rise for 45-60 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Brush dough with egg wash. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Cool before slicing.
