Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs, vanilla, and almond extract.
In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into wet ingredients to form a soft dough.
Scoop rounded tbsp of dough onto ungreased baking sheets. Decorate with sprinkles or colored sugar.
Bake for 8-10 mins until edges are set and tops are slightly soft.
Cool on the baking sheet for 2 mins, then transfer to wire racks.
