Soft Christmas Cookies

These Soft Christmas Cookies bring the holiday spirit to life with their melt-in-your-mouth texture and sweet, festive flavor.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened 226 g
  • cups granulated sugar 300 g
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp almond extract optional
  • cups all-purpose flour 344 g
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Red and green sprinkles or colored sugar for decorating

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs, vanilla, and almond extract.
  • In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into wet ingredients to form a soft dough.
  • Scoop rounded tbsp of dough onto ungreased baking sheets. Decorate with sprinkles or colored sugar.
  • Bake for 8-10 mins until edges are set and tops are slightly soft.
  • Cool on the baking sheet for 2 mins, then transfer to wire racks.
