Seven Layer Salad is a visually stunning, flavorful dish featuring crisp iceberg lettuce, fresh vegetables, savory bacon, and a creamy dressing. Perfect for potlucks, barbecues, and make-ahead meals, this salad combines crunchy textures with rich, tangy flavors for a satisfying side dish.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 iceberg lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup cucumbers, sliced
  • 1 cup frozen peas, thawed
  • 6 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsps sugar
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions
 

  • Layer the Salad: In a large clear bowl, layer iceberg lettuce first, followed by cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, peas, eggs, cheddar cheese, and crumbled bacon.
  • Mix the Dressing: Whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, sugar, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  • Seal and Chill: Spread the dressing evenly over the top to cover the layers. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  • Serve: Scoop deep to get all the layers in each serving and enjoy chilled.
