Satisfying Garlic Chicken Lo Mein
A vibrant garlic chicken lo mein recipe reimagined for breakfast quick, nourishing, and bursting with savory garlic notes and tender chicken.
- 8 oz lo mein noodles
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 lb chicken breast thinly sliced
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce optional
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- ½ cup shredded carrots about 1 small carrot
- ½ cup sliced bell pepper any color
- 2 green onions sliced thin
- ¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper
- Pinch of red pepper flakes optional, for morning spark
Boil noodles 4–5 mins, drain, rinse, set aside. Season chicken with black pepper.
Stir-fry chicken in hot wok 3–4 mins until golden. Set aside.
Sauté garlic 15 secs, add veggies, stir-fry 2 mins.
Add chicken, noodles, sauces. Toss and cook 2–3 mins until coated and cooked through.
Adjust seasoning, sprinkle green onions, and serve. Add splash of water if noodles stick
