Red Hot Cinnamon Hard Candy

Bring the nostalgia of homemade candy to life with this Red Hot Cinnamon Hard Candy!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • cup light corn syrup
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tsp cinnamon oil
  • Red food coloring as desired
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions
 

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and dust with powdered sugar to prevent sticking.
  • Combine sugar, corn syrup, and water in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir until sugar dissolves.
  • Increase heat to high and bring to a boil. Use a candy thermometer and cook until the mixture reaches 300°F (150°C) without stirring.
  • Remove from heat and let it cool slightly. Carefully stir in cinnamon oil and red food coloring.
  • Pour the hot candy mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Let it cool completely until semi-hard.
  • Cut the candy into pieces and dust with powdered sugar to prevent sticking.
