Red Hot Cinnamon Hard Candy
Bring the nostalgia of homemade candy to life with this Red Hot Cinnamon Hard Candy!
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- ⅔ cup light corn syrup
- ½ cup water
- 1 tsp cinnamon oil
- Red food coloring as desired
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and dust with powdered sugar to prevent sticking.
Combine sugar, corn syrup, and water in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir until sugar dissolves.
Increase heat to high and bring to a boil. Use a candy thermometer and cook until the mixture reaches 300°F (150°C) without stirring.
Remove from heat and let it cool slightly. Carefully stir in cinnamon oil and red food coloring.
Pour the hot candy mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Let it cool completely until semi-hard.
Cut the candy into pieces and dust with powdered sugar to prevent sticking.
