Portobello Mushroom Pizza Bake
Portobello Mushroom Pizza Bake is a low-carb, veggie-based twist on pizza. Big mushroom caps are filled with sauce, cheese, and toppings, then baked until hot and bubbly—great for busy weeknights.
Main Components:
- 4 large portobello mushrooms
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 4 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
Toppings (choose what you like):
- Sliced pepperoni
- Bell peppers
- Onions
- Olives
Garnish & Seasoning:
- Fresh basil leaves
- Salt to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
Heat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment.
Clean mushrooms with a damp cloth and place gill-side up on the sheet.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Spoon ¼ cup pizza sauce into each cap.
Add mozzarella and your favorite toppings.
Bake 15–20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and mushrooms are tender.
Garnish with basil and serve hot.
