Portobello Mushroom Pizza Bake

Portobello Mushroom Pizza Bake is a low-carb, veggie-based twist on pizza. Big mushroom caps are filled with sauce, cheese, and toppings, then baked until hot and bubbly—great for busy weeknights.

Ingredients
  

Main Components:

  • 4 large portobello mushrooms
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 4 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese

Toppings (choose what you like):

  • Sliced pepperoni
  • Bell peppers
  • Onions
  • Olives

Garnish & Seasoning:

  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Heat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  • Clean mushrooms with a damp cloth and place gill-side up on the sheet.
  • Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Spoon ¼ cup pizza sauce into each cap.
  • Add mozzarella and your favorite toppings.
  • Bake 15–20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and mushrooms are tender.
  • Garnish with basil and serve hot.
