Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes

Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes combine seasoned beef, peppers, onions, and melty cheese on toasted buns for a quick, flavorful comfort food mashup.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 green bell pepper chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper chopped
  • 1 orange bell pepper chopped
  • 1 white onion chopped
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 2 ounces cream cheese
  • 3 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns

Instructions
 

  • Dice all peppers and onion into small, even pieces.
  • Cook peppers and onion in oil over medium-high heat for 7–8 minutes until tender. Set aside.
  • In the same pan, cook ground beef with salt and pepper until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add veggies back in with cream cheese, ketchup, Worcestershire, garlic powder, water, and seasoning. Cook until thick and creamy.
  • Turn off heat. Add shredded cheese, let sit, then stir until melted and gooey.
  • Toast buns in a dry skillet or under the broiler until crisp.
  • Spoon filling onto buns, top with extra cheese if desired, and serve warm.
