Orange Creamsicle Cake

This Orange Creamsicle Cake is a moist, flavorful treat, blending vanilla cake with refreshing orange zest. Topped with creamy frosting and optional glaze, it's perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients
  

For the Cake:

  • 1 box 15.25 oz white or vanilla cake mix
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Orange Cream Glaze (optional):

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • ½ teaspoon orange zest

For the Frosting:

  • 1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice optional, for extra flavor

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour your 9x13-inch or two 9-inch round cake pans.
  • In a bowl, mix the cake mix, orange juice, vegetable oil, eggs, orange zest, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and lump-free.
  • Pour the batter into the pan(s) and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let the cake cool for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar, then mix in vanilla extract, orange zest, and orange juice until fluffy.
  • Once cooled, spread the frosting on top. For layered cakes, frost between layers and the top and sides. Optionally, drizzle with orange cream glaze.
  • Slice and serve. Garnish with orange slices or zest for extra flair.
