ME SLOW
A playful and visually striking cocktail combining Malibu, Baileys, Triple Sec, 7-Up, grenadine, and lime juice. Creamy, fizzy, and fruity with a layered finish that’s perfect for slow sipping.
- 1 oz Malibu Coconut Rum
- 1 oz Baileys Irish Cream
- 0.5 oz Triple Sec
- 4 –6 oz 7-Up to top
- 0.75 oz Grenadine
- 0.75 oz Rose’s Lime Juice
- Cherry for garnish
Start by filling a Collins glass all the way with ice. Use large cubes or crushed ice depending on your texture preference—crushed will chill it faster, while cubes slow dilution.
Add 1 oz of Malibu Coconut Rum, 0.5 oz of Triple Sec, 0.75 oz of Grenadine, and 0.75 oz of Rose’s Lime Juice directly over the ice. These will form the fruity foundation of the drink.
Use a cocktail spoon or a long stir stick to blend the ingredients thoroughly. This helps the grenadine distribute evenly, giving you that sweet-tart punch without dominating the drink.
Pour in 4 to 6 oz of 7-Up, depending on how strong or light you want the drink to feel. Leave about an inch at the top to make space for the Baileys.
Here’s where the visual drama happens. Slowly pour 1 oz of Baileys Irish Cream down the center of the drink. Pouring gently over the back of a spoon helps it float and create that signature swirling cloud effect.
Drop a cherry on top or hang it from the rim. Add a long straw and serve immediately. Don’t stir again unless you want to blend the layers before drinking.
