Maple Walnut Scones

Maple Walnut Scones are tender, flaky fall pastries flavored with pure maple syrup and crunchy walnuts.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet.
  • Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, and brown sugar.
  • Cut the cold butter into the flour until pea-sized pieces remain.
  • Whisk cream, maple syrup, and egg separately.
  • Pour the wet mixture into the flour and gently stir.
  • Fold in walnuts, shape the dough into a round, and cut into 8 wedges.
  • Place the wedges on the baking sheet and chill for 10 minutes.
  • Bake for 17–20 minutes until lightly golden.
