Jam Heart Butter Cookies

Jam Heart Butter Cookies are tender, buttery cookies with a soft crumb and a sweet jam filled heart. They are simple to prepare, gently sweet, and perfect for everyday treats or special moments.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup smooth strawberry raspberry, or cherry jam

Instructions
 

  • Cream butter and sugar, mix in egg yolk and vanilla, then stir in flour and salt until a soft dough forms.
  • Roll 1 tablespoon portions into balls and place on a parchment lined baking sheet.
  • Press a small heart shaped indent into each cookie and fill lightly with jam.
  • Chill the cookies for 15 to 20 minutes to prevent spreading.
  • Bake at 350°F for 10 to 12 minutes, then cool before serving.
