Jalapeño Popper Patty Melt
Jalapeño Popper Patty Melt is a spicy, creamy, beefy sandwich with roasted jalapeños, melty filling, and crisp toasted bread. Perfect for quick, satisfying meals.
- 1 lb ground beef formed into 2 patties
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices thick bread such as Texas toast
- 4 oz cream cheese softened
- ½ cup shredded cheddar or pepper jack
- 2 to 3 roasted jalapeños sliced
- ½ cup caramelized onions
- 2 tbsp butter for toasting bread
- BBQ sauce to taste
Mix softened cream cheese with shredded cheddar or pepper jack until smooth.
Season beef patties with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Cook patties over medium-high heat for 4–5 minutes per side; rest briefly.
Toast bread in butter until golden on both sides.
Spread the cream cheese mixture onto all toasted slices.
Layer caramelized onions and roasted jalapeños on the bottom slices.
Add warm patties and drizzle with BBQ sauce.
Top with remaining bread, then warm in the skillet 1–2 minutes per side.
Slice diagonally and serve hot while creamy and melty.
