Jalapeño Popper Bacon-Wrapped Mozzarella Sticks

- 8 mozzarella string cheese sticks
- 4 jalapeños
- 16 slices of thin-cut beef bacon
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- Oil, for frying
Prepare the Cheese Sticks: Cut mozzarella sticks in half. Slice jalapeños into thin strips that wrap easily around the cheese.
Wrap the Cheese: Place a jalapeño strip alongside each mozzarella piece. Wrap tightly with a slice of bacon, fully covering the cheese to prevent leaks. Secure with toothpicks if needed.
Coat the Mozzarella Sticks: Dredge in flour, dip in beaten eggs, then roll in seasoned breadcrumbs. For extra crispiness, repeat the egg and breadcrumb coating.
Fry to Perfection: Heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry in batches for 2–3 minutes, turning until golden brown and crispy. Drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
