Hot Fudge Chocolate Pudding Cake
Hot Fudge Chocolate Pudding Cake is a deliciously decadent dessert that combines a fudgy, molten middle with a light, cake-like top. Baked to perfection, it’s a comforting treat, perfect for any occasion.
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ⅔ cup sugar
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup milk
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup chopped nuts
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- cups hot water
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
In a bowl, whisk together 1 cup flour, ⅔ cup sugar, ¼ cup cocoa powder, 2 tsp baking powder, and ¼ tsp salt. Add in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth. Fold in chopped nuts if desired.
Mix ¾ cup brown sugar and ¼ cup cocoa powder in a separate bowl. Sprinkle evenly over the batter.
Carefully pour 1¾ cups hot water over the top without stirring.
Place the dish in the oven and bake for 35-40 minutes. The top should look set with a bubbling fudge sauce underneath.
