Marinate the ribs with light soy sauce, sugar, and garlic powder. Set aside for 30 minutes.
Add cornstarch to the marinated ribs, ensuring that each piece is completely coated.
Heat oil for deep frying to 160°C (325°F). Fry the ribs in batches for 3-5 minutes. Do not overcrowd the pan.
Remove the ribs from the oil and heat the oil to 200°C (400°F). Fry the ribs again until they turn golden brown (about 1 minute).
In a wok, heat 2 tbsp oil over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and fry until golden.
Stir in sugar, salt, and honey. Mix well, then toss the ribs into the wok and coat them thoroughly with the sauce.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve and enjoy!
