Homemade Shrimp Burger With Guacamole

Homemade Shrimp Burger With Guacamole is a light yet satisfying meal made with seasoned shrimp patties, creamy avocado topping, and fresh vegetables, served on toasted buns for an easy family dinner.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb 450 g shrimp peeled and deveined
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for cooking

Guacamole

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • ½ small red onion finely chopped
  • 1 small tomato diced
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Assembly

  • 4 burger buns toasted
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Optional pickles or red onion rings

Instructions
 

  • Finely chop the shrimp until chunky, not paste like.
  • Mix shrimp with breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, spices, salt, and pepper until just combined.
  • Shape into 4 patties about ¾ inch thick.
  • Cook patties in olive oil over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
  • Mash avocados and mix with onion, tomato, garlic, lime juice, salt, and pepper.
  • Assemble burgers with lettuce, shrimp patty, guacamole, tomato, and buns, then serve immediately.
