Hokkaido Cheese Toast

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup full cream milk (250ml)
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 oz Philadelphia cream cheese (60g)
  • 3 slices cheese cubed
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp butter (30g)
  • 4 slices white bread
  • Mozzarella cheese opt.

Instructions
 

  • In a pan, combine milk, egg yolk, brown sugar, and cream cheese. Mix thoroughly.
  • Heat on low, stirring until boiling. Add cornstarch, mix well, and simmer until thickened.
  • Turn off heat. Add vanilla extract and butter. Set aside.
  • Create a well on the bread using a spoon. Pour the cheese custard and spread evenly.
  • Add Mozzarella cheese on top, airfry or bake at 180°C (350°F) for 15 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
