Gordon Ramsay Chicken Tikka Masala
Gordon Ramsay Chicken Tikka Masala tender grilled chicken in a creamy, spiced tomato sauce, perfect for a flavorful home-cooked dinner.
For the Chicken Marinade
- 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts (or 4 chicken thighs)
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon oil
For the Masala Sauce
- 2 tablespoons butter or ghee
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 large onion finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1- inch ginger grated
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- ½ teaspoon turmeric
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 can 14 oz crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream or coconut milk
- 1 teaspoon sugar optional
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ¼ cup chopped cilantro for garnish
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Marinate chicken with yogurt, lemon, and spices; chill 1 hour.
Grill or bake chicken until cooked; set aside.
Cook onions, garlic, ginger, spices, and tomatoes; stir in cream.
Combine chicken with sauce, simmer briefly, add lemon and cilantro, serve.
