Gordon Ramsay Chicken Tikka Masala

Gordon Ramsay Chicken Tikka Masala tender grilled chicken in a creamy, spiced tomato sauce, perfect for a flavorful home-cooked dinner.

Ingredients
  

For the Chicken Marinade

  • 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts (or 4 chicken thighs)
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon oil

For the Masala Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons butter or ghee
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 large onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1- inch ginger grated
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 can 14 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream or coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon sugar optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup chopped cilantro for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions
 

  • Marinate chicken with yogurt, lemon, and spices; chill 1 hour.
  • Grill or bake chicken until cooked; set aside.
  • Cook onions, garlic, ginger, spices, and tomatoes; stir in cream.
  • Combine chicken with sauce, simmer briefly, add lemon and cilantro, serve.
