Fried Cabbage With Shrimp, Sausage And Bacon

Fried Cabbage with Shrimp, Sausage, and Bacon is a hearty dish that blends smoky bacon, savory sausage, and tender shrimp with flavorful cabbage. Easy to make and packed with rich tastes, it’s the perfect comfort food for any occasion.

Ingredients
  

  • 5 slices bacon
  • ½ cup yellow onions
  • 3 cups chopped cabbage
  • 10-12 shrimp
  • 1 link kielbasa or smoked sausage
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp seafood seasoning
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • Pinch of crushed red pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar

Instructions
 

  • Coat shrimp with olive oil and seafood seasoning. Set aside.
  • Cook chopped bacon in a skillet until crispy. Remove bacon, leaving the grease.
  • Add sausage slices to the skillet, brown on both sides, then remove.
  • Cook shrimp for 3 minutes per side until pink and curled, then set aside.
  • Melt 1 tablespoon butter in the skillet. Add onions, smoked paprika, oregano, salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper. Cook for 5-6 minutes. Add garlic and cook for another minute.
  • Add the second tablespoon of butter and apple cider vinegar. Stir in cabbage and cook for 12 minutes until tender.
  • Stir in bacon, shrimp, and sausage. Cook for 2-3 minutes to combine. Serve hot.
