Flavor-Packed Chutney Grilled Cheese Sandwich
A vibrant grilled cheese featuring homemade green chutney, melted mozzarella, and crisp, buttery bread—simple, fresh, and flavor-packed.
Green Chutney:
- 2 cups fresh coriander leaves
- 6 garlic cloves
- 1- inch fresh ginger sliced
- 2 large green chilies chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- ½ tsp chaat masala powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 ice cubes
- 1 slice bread
- Water as needed
Sandwich Assembly:
- 4 slices bread
- 2 slices cheese cheddar or your choice
- Butter for spreading
- Prepared green chutney
- Grated mozzarella cheese
Blend coriander, garlic, ginger, chilies, lemon juice, chaat masala, salt, ice cubes, bread slice, and a splash of water until smooth.
Butter one side of each bread slice. On the other side, spread chutney, add a cheese slice, sprinkle mozzarella, and top with another chutney-side-down slice. Press gently.
Cook on a pan over medium-low heat until both sides are golden and cheese is melted.
Cut in half and serve hot with extra chutney or pickles if desired.
