Egg Roll Stir-Fry

Ideal for hectic weeknights, this recipe promises a quick, satisfying meal bursting with flavor.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground pork turkey, or beef
  • 1 head of cabbage
  • 2 large carrots
  • 1 large onion diced
  • 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
  • 6 clove garlic minced
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • ΒΌ cup soy sauce

Instructions
 

  • In a large skillet, cook and crumble the ground meat with diced onions and black pepper until fully cooked. Retain the rendered fat for added flavor.
  • While the meat cooks, slice the cabbage into thin ribbons after removing the core. Peel and dice the carrots or use a vegetable peeler for thin slices.
  • Add cabbage, carrots, and minced garlic to the skillet with the cooked meat. Stir-fry over medium-high heat for approximately 5 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, mix grated ginger, sesame oil, and soy sauce. Stir this mixture into the skillet with the meat and vegetables.
  • Reduce heat to medium and continue cooking for 5-10 minutes until the cabbage is tender, stirring occasionally.
  • Taste and adjust the seasoning with additional soy sauce, salt, or pepper to suit your preferences.
