Easy Tater Tot Sloppy Joe Skillet

A one-pan favorite that layers savory sloppy Joe–style ground beef sauce with crispy tater tots and melted cheddar—easy, fun, and irresistibly comforting.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 32 oz bag frozen tater tots
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp BBQ sauce
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 –2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika

Instructions
 

  • Bake tater tots as directed until crispy. Set aside.
  • In an oven-safe skillet, sauté ground beef and chopped onion in olive oil for 6–8 minutes until browned.
  • Stir in garlic, salt, pepper, onion powder, and paprika. Cook for 1 minute.
  • Mix in tomato sauce, ketchup, BBQ sauce, mustard, and Worcestershire. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Layer baked tots over the beef mixture.
  • Sprinkle cheddar on top and broil 1–2 minutes until melted and bubbly.
  • Let rest briefly, then serve warm with generous scoops.
