Doritos Pizza Rolls
Doritos Pizza Rolls are crispy, cheesy, and packed with bold pizza flavor. Egg roll wrappers hold a delicious mix of mozzarella, pizza sauce, and pepperoni, while a crushed Doritos coating gives them an irresistible crunch. Perfect for parties, snacks, or a fun twist on pizza night!
- 12 egg roll wrappers
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup pepperoni slices
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 cups Nacho Cheese Doritos
- 1 egg
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup buttermilk
- Oil
Prepare the Filling: Mix pizza sauce, mozzarella, chopped pepperoni, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder in a bowl. Set aside.
Assemble the Pizza Rolls: Place 1-2 tablespoons of filling in the center of an egg roll wrapper. Brush edges with beaten egg, fold in the sides, and roll tightly to seal. Repeat with the rest.
Set Up the Breading Station: Add flour to one bowl, pour buttermilk into another, and place crushed Doritos in a third.
Coat the Pizza Rolls: Dredge each roll in flour, dip in buttermilk, then coat with crushed Doritos, pressing gently to help crumbs stick.
Fry Until Golden: Heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry pizza rolls in batches for 2-3 minutes per side until crispy and golden. Drain on paper towels before serving.
