Crispy Pizza Stuffed Waffles

Crispy golden waffles stuffed with gooey mozzarella, pepperoni, and tangy pizza sauce — these Pizza Stuffed Waffles are an easy, fun twist on two classic favorites. Perfect for lunch, snacks, or a quick dinner.

Ingredients
  

For the waffle batter:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For stuffing and assembly:

  • 3 tablespoons pizza sauce
  • 1.75 ounces sliced pepperoni
  • ¼ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Nonstick cooking spray

Instructions
 

  • Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  • Whisk egg, sugar, milk, oil, and vanilla in another bowl until smooth.
  • Combine wet and dry mixes. Stir gently; a few lumps are fine.
  • Spray with nonstick spray and preheat for 3–5 minutes.
  • Add enough batter to cover plates without overflowing. Cook 5–7 minutes until golden.
  • Cool slightly, then cut each waffle in half horizontally.
  • Spread pizza sauce, sprinkle mozzarella, and top with pepperoni on bottom halves.
  • Broil 1–2 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  • Add top halves, press gently, and serve hot.
