Creamy Seafood Bisque

Indulge in the luxurious flavors of this Creamy Seafood Bisque, brimming with fresh shrimp, crab, and lobster.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 clove garlic minced
  • 1/2 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 lb lump crab meat
  • 1/2 lb lobster meat chopped
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 cup seafood or chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish optional

Instructions
 

  • Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sautéing for 3–4 minutes until onions are translucent and garlic is fragrant.
  • Sprinkle in flour and stir to create a paste with the butter and aromatics. Cook for 1–2 minutes to eliminate the raw flour taste.
  • Gradually pour in broth, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Allow the broth and roux to thicken. Add heavy cream, Old Bay, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Bring the bisque to a gentle simmer, letting flavors blend for 5 minutes. Add shrimp, crab, and lobster to the pot. Stir gently and cook for 5–7 minutes until shrimp are pink and seafood is heated through.
  • Ladle bisque into bowls. Garnish with parsley if desired, and serve hot with crusty bread or crackers.
