Creamy Seafood Bisque
Indulge in the luxurious flavors of this Creamy Seafood Bisque, brimming with fresh shrimp, crab, and lobster.
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 small onion chopped
- 2 clove garlic minced
- 1/2 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
- 1/2 lb lump crab meat
- 1/2 lb lobster meat chopped
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 cup seafood or chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish optional
Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sautéing for 3–4 minutes until onions are translucent and garlic is fragrant.
Sprinkle in flour and stir to create a paste with the butter and aromatics. Cook for 1–2 minutes to eliminate the raw flour taste.
Gradually pour in broth, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Allow the broth and roux to thicken. Add heavy cream, Old Bay, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Bring the bisque to a gentle simmer, letting flavors blend for 5 minutes. Add shrimp, crab, and lobster to the pot. Stir gently and cook for 5–7 minutes until shrimp are pink and seafood is heated through.
Ladle bisque into bowls. Garnish with parsley if desired, and serve hot with crusty bread or crackers.
