Creamy Sausage And Potato Bake

Creamy Sausage and Potato Bake is a comforting, cheesy casserole loaded with smoky sausage, tender potatoes, and a rich, creamy sauce. It’s an easy, one-dish meal that’s perfect for weeknights or potlucks.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb smoked sausage or kielbasa
  • 4 cups peeled and thinly sliced potatoes
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 can cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup
  • ¾ cup sour cream
  • cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
  • Make the creamy sauce: In a large bowl, mix the cream soup, sour cream, and half of the cheddar cheese until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Combine the ingredients: Add the sliced potatoes, sausage, and onion to the bowl. Stir until evenly coated in the sauce.
  • Assemble the casserole: Spread the mixture evenly in the greased baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
  • Bake until golden & bubbly: Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 10–15 minutes until the top is golden and the potatoes are tender.
  • Let it sit for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired.
