Creamy Garlic Shrimp Pasta Butter
Garlic Shrimp Pasta Butter is a flavorful pasta dish made with tender shrimp, garlic, butter, and Italian herbs. The spaghetti is tossed in a light, silky sauce of butter, olive oil, and pasta water, creating a simple yet satisfying meal perfect for busy weeknights.
- 12 oz spaghetti
- 1 lb medium shrimp cleaned and tails removed
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves minced very fine
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes adjust to taste
- 1 teaspoon fine sea salt for seasoning
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley or basil chopped
- 1 tablespoon salt for pasta water
Boil salted water, cook spaghetti 9–10 minutes, reserve 1 cup pasta water, drain.
Rinse shrimp and pat completely dry.
Melt butter in a skillet, cook shrimp 2–3 minutes until edges turn pink.
Add garlic and cook 3–5 minutes until shrimp are fully pink.
Add pasta, olive oil, butter, seasonings, and a little pasta water; toss.
Toss 1–2 minutes until glossy, add herbs, serve hot.
