Cottage Cheese Chocolate Mousse is a smooth, creamy dessert made by blending cottage cheese with cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla, and a pinch of salt. After a short chill in the fridge, it transforms into a rich chocolate mousse packed with protein and simple ingredients.
- 1 cup full fat cottage cheese
- 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 to 3 tablespoons maple syrup or honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of sea salt
Add cottage cheese to a blender and blend about 15 seconds to smooth the curds.
Add cocoa powder, maple syrup or honey, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
Blend 30 to 45 seconds until smooth and creamy, scraping the sides if needed.
Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more maple syrup or honey if desired.
Transfer to bowls or jars and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
Serve chilled with berries, chocolate shavings, or chopped nuts if desired.
