Creamy Chicken Noodle Soup

Creamy Chicken Noodle Soup is a hearty, comforting bowl filled with tender chicken, soft noodles, and a rich, flavorful broth. Perfect for chilly evenings, family dinners, or when you need a warm hug in a bowl.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 carrots sliced
  • 2 celery stalks chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups cooked chicken shredded or diced
  • 2 cups egg noodles
  • 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
  • 2 tbsp flour for thickening
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Melt butter in a large pot and sauté onion, carrots, celery, and garlic for 5–7 minutes until tender.
  • Stir in flour and cook 1 minute to form a light roux.
  • Gradually whisk in chicken broth, bring to a gentle simmer until slightly thickened.
  • Add egg noodles and cook 7–8 minutes until tender, stirring occasionally.
  • Stir in cooked chicken and heavy cream, simmer 3–5 minutes, then season with salt and pepper.
  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley, alongside crusty bread or crackers.
