Creamy Chicken Noodle Soup
Creamy Chicken Noodle Soup is a hearty, comforting bowl filled with tender chicken, soft noodles, and a rich, flavorful broth. Perfect for chilly evenings, family dinners, or when you need a warm hug in a bowl.
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 small onion diced
- 2 carrots sliced
- 2 celery stalks chopped
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups cooked chicken shredded or diced
- 2 cups egg noodles
- 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
- 2 tbsp flour for thickening
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Melt butter in a large pot and sauté onion, carrots, celery, and garlic for 5–7 minutes until tender.
Stir in flour and cook 1 minute to form a light roux.
Gradually whisk in chicken broth, bring to a gentle simmer until slightly thickened.
Add egg noodles and cook 7–8 minutes until tender, stirring occasionally.
Stir in cooked chicken and heavy cream, simmer 3–5 minutes, then season with salt and pepper.
Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley, alongside crusty bread or crackers.
