- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion chopped (about 1 cup)
- 1 large head green cabbage chopped into 1 inch squares (about 8 cups)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup full fat cottage cheese
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese divided
- 1 large egg
Cook cabbage in olive oil 10 to 12 minutes until soft with light browning, drain excess liquid.
Brown beef and onion 7 to 8 minutes, then drain fat.
Blend cottage cheese, sour cream, egg, and seasonings until smooth.
Mix cabbage, beef, sauce, and half cheese, transfer to dish, top with remaining cheese.
Bake at 375°F for 25 to 30 minutes until bubbly and golden, rest 10 minutes before serving.
