Creamy Butterscotch Pie

Butterscotch Pie is a smooth, creamy dessert made with a rich brown sugar custard filling, baked in a flaky crust for a simple and comforting treat.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 egg yolks beaten
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 9- inch pie crust baked

Instructions
 

  • Cook sugar, cornstarch, salt, milk over heat, stir until thickened.
  • Whisk in egg yolks, cook until smooth and custard-like.
  • Remove heat, stir in butter and vanilla until glossy.
  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • Pour filling into baked pie crust, spread evenly.
  • Bake 5 minutes until lightly browned.
  • Cool, then chill 1–2 hours before serving.
